Telluria

Telluria figured a prominate part in the origional Dreaming in the Real, it is the home Shadow of Lentaro and managed to gain Golden Circle status during the course of the campaign. It was also used by dark forces during the game to strike at Lentaro and the rest of the characters and became a sparking point through the introduction of free-wheeling and uncontrolled Pattern and Vitae technology created by a Dworking shadow known as Alan Smithee.

The campaign ended with Telluria in chaos, system set against system through the manications of Lentaro's enemies and armed with the awsome power of Smithee's technology. The results over the next several hundred years to the start of Persistance of Vision have not been kind. War spread through the Terrulian empire, petty dictators armed with Pattern and Vitae technology struck with abandon and system after system was blasted back to pre-technological status, assuming the planet survived at all.

Centralized government is a thing of the past and the few systems with technological capability guard it jealously, turning away all who would approach for fear that they may bear a surviving Smithee weapon. Once a place of high civilization, Telluria is now a wasteland, the fighting ended only because there is no longer anyone left able to fight.
