You spent all night with thirty people doing what?

I have always been a fan of various board games, an interest that evolved from the more mainstream classics to more esoteric games like Talisman, Great Dalmute and Lunch Money. I host game nights every month or so and am always looking for new and esoteric games to introduce to my unsuspecting houseguests, have any suggestions? The link below will take you to my Game Night info page and a series of descriptions of the various games we play.

The wonderful world of MMORPG

In what seems inevitable amongst the technically oriented gamer crowd, I became involved with the Massively Multiplayer OnLine Role Playing games. Most notably among these, for the moment at least, is World of Warcraft. I was a big fan of the old EQ and became involved in the new EQ2, but found that while beautiful, the game really couldn't find a direction and just wasn't that much *fun*. My characters are as follows:

It's like acting, only without the script or actual ability

I currently run an Amber Diceless game on alternate Sundays. Amber Diceless is like the more conventional role playing games you know (Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire, etc) but without dice and a lot more pretention. The games I run have their own websites, as the story is the primary focus in Amber and the site is a good place to archive elements of it, not to mention including some less than completely embarrassing artwork.

Currently gaming sites include:

Escapism, now on DVD

I tend to also love sci-fi of various sorts, books, TV, etc. Television primarily includes Stargate and Battlestar Galactica at the moment, but others catch my interest from time to time. Authors vary by mood and phase of the moon, ask me in mail if your really that interested.
