One of the things I find most fascinating about Orchids, and many other flowering plants, is the wide range of amazing fragrances they produce. Sadly while I consider this important, many others in the Orchid growing world do not. Often the only way you can find out the fragrance of a plant is to buy one and cross your fingers. Well, wonder no more, with this list you should be able to make at least an educated guess as to what you may be smelling come flower time. This list has been generated using other net resources, personal experience (wandering flower shows with a clear nose and a notepad), purchasing guides and pretty much anything else I can find. I make no claim to list every scent bearing orchid. The list should be considered a guide, not gospel; plants vary in scent, as do people's perception. That said, one of the best ways to get accurate data is consensus from a wide range of data points, so send me in your experiences! The more people that do, the better this resource becomes for everyone.
