Your pipe reminds me of my Grandfather

People tell me this a lot.

Sigh.

I'm glad this has awoken some bit of warm geriatric nostalgia for you. However, not all cigar and pipe smokers are over 50, and for some they evoke more than the essence of "Ben Gay".

I have always been fascinated by cigars and pipes and men who smoke them I suspect the inherent masculinity probably is part of the appeal, and the sense of ritual and art that makes them so unlike cigarettes. Current sentiment makes being a cigar and/or pipe smoker an occasionally interesting experience, and I careful to be polite about when and where I engage in my hobby. However, despite occasional public dismay, it remains a passion and one that I continue to investigate.
